Alabama Softball Drops 4-0 Decision as Arkansas Evens Weekend Series

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Alabama softball fell, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon as Arkansas evened the weekend series.
Alabama (30-5, 10-4 SEC) was held to just two hits while Arkansas (33-4, 13-1 SEC) scored its four runs on a trio of home runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings. The Crimson Tide looked to mount a late rally in the seventh, putting the first two batters on base via a hit-by-pitch and error but a force out, strikeout and groundout ended the game. One of Alabama's two hits came from KB Sides, who extended her reached-base streak to 13 games. Lexi Kilfoyl (11-3) took the loss for the Tide while Autumn Storms (6-0) got the complete-game victory for the Razorbacks.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Alabama is now 61-12 all-time vs. Arkansas, including a 24-9 mark on the road
- It was just the second time the Tide has been shut out all season
- KB Sides extended her reached-base streak to 13 games, tied for the longest streak for any Alabama player this season
- Bailey Hemphill went 0-for-2, ending her hitting streak at seven games
