The Zone meets serve as the gateway to the NCAA Championships for divers
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Alabama swimming and diving is sending four divers to the NCAA Zone B Championships, which will be held March 7-9 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
Halia Bower and Tanesha Lucoe will represent the Crimson Tide women and Hunter Jaynes and Kevin Li will compete for the UA men.
While swimmers qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championships by virtue of times posted during the season, divers qualify exclusively through the five Zone meets. Each Zone has a set number of slots per event. For the women, Zone B has seven slots off both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events and eight off the platform, while the men have 10 off the 1-meter and eight each off the 3-meter board and platform.
In addition to hosting both the Zone B and Zone A meets, Greensboro is also the site of the men's and women's 2021 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
