
Alabama Women’s Golf Team Completes the Second Round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

Caroline Curtis led the way for the Tide in the second round of action
ATHENS, Ga. – The Alabama women's golf team wrapped up the second round of action at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic Saturday on the par-72 University of Georgia Golf Course.
Alabama (296-314/610) sits in 13th place after posting a team score of 22-over par 314. South Carolina (293-287/580) leads the tournament at 4-over par. Individually, Benedetta Moresco sits in a tie for 11th place, seven strokes behind leader Ingrid Lindblad of LSU. Alabama leads the tournament along with Georgia and LSU in birdies made with 18.
Leading the Lineup
- Caroline Curtis posted a 5-over par 77 to lead the Tide on day two.
- Benedetta Moresco recorded two birdies and shot a 6-over par 78.
- The rookie leads the tournament in scoring average on par 3s with a scoring average of 2.25.
- Polly Mack turned in a 7-over par 79 in her second time around the course.
- Kenzie Wright is tied for 76th after shooting an 8-over par 80.
- Angelica Moresco rounded out the Tide with a 9-over par 81.
