
Alabama Track and Field Takes Home 26 Top-10 Finishes at the Tiger Track Classic

The Alabama men’s and women’s track teams leave Auburn, Ala., with seven medalists, including three event winners
AUBURN, Ala. – Alabama track and field concluded the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala., with a solid performance in throws, sprints and hurdles on day two of the meet.
The Tide tacked on 19 more top-10 finishes in day two of competition to bring the Alabama total of top-10 finishers to 26. The Alabama women brought home one gold medal and three silver medals, while the men brought home two gold medals and one silver medal.
Day Two Results
- Robert Dunning took first in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.67
- Christal Mosley, Katie Funcheon, Sydney Milani and Natassha McDonald secured gold in the women's 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:35.72
- The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Gabriel Serrano, Joshua St. Clair, Dunning and Matthew Weaver brought hardware back to Tuscaloosa after taking second with a time of 3:12.88
- Daija Lampkin grabbed the silver medal for her effort in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 23.761
- Natassha McDonald placed second in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 53.26
- The last medalist for Alabama was Nickolette Dunbar took silver in shot put after throwing for a mark of 16.16m
Other Notable Outcomes
- For the men, Chago Basso took 5th with a throw of 17.20m in the shot put
- Taylor Pickett tied for 6th place in pole vault with a height of 3.67m
- Katie Funcheon snagged a top-5 finish for her performance in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 55.37
- In the men's 400-meter dash, St. Clair finished 6th with a time of 48.39
