
Abby Marjama and Madelyn St. Germain Earn SEC Weekly Volleyball Accolades

Marjama named Player of the Week, St. Germain garnered Defensive Player of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Following a pair of home wins over Mississippi State last weekend, Alabama volleyball claimed a trio of weekly accolades from the Southeastern Conference with Abby Marjama as the Offensive and overall Player of the Week and Madelyn St. Germain as the Defensive Player of the Week.
Marjama, who earned both the Offensive Player of the Week and the league's overall Player of the Week, led the team with 44 kills in the two wins, averaging 5.50 kills per set. She finished with a season-high 20 kills on Friday before bettering that mark with 24 on Saturday. Her .444 hitting percentage in game two against the Bulldogs was also a season best, helping the team to its season-best clip of .336. She added 10 digs in each match for her third and fourth double-doubles of the season.
St. Germain led the defense with 43 digs, averaging 5.38 per set. She totaled a season-best 28 digs on Friday and was tied for the team lead with three service aces. She followed with 15 digs in Saturday's win, her third-highest total of the season.
The Crimson Tide continues its spring season with two matches this weekend at Texas A&M starting Friday, March 5 at 6 p.m. CT.
