
Alabama Women’s Golf Travels to South Carolina for the Gamecock Intercollegiate

The Crimson Tide will tee off Monday morning for the third tournament of the spring slate
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The 20th-ranked Alabama women's golf team will continue its spring season Monday in Columbia, S.C., for the Gamecock Intercollegiate. The event will be a three day, 54-hole tournament hosted by the University of South Carolina at the Columbia Country Club.
The Columbia Country Club course will play as a par-72, 6,297 yards layout. Eighteen holes will be played each day (starting at 9 a.m. Monday-Wednesday) and an individual and team champion will be crowned Wednesday.
About Alabama
- The Crimson Tide finished third at the Gators Invitational after placing ninth in the Moon Golf Invitational.
- UA's play at the Gators Invitational was highlighted by Benedetta Moresco even par (73-67-70) overall tournament score, which placed her fifth in the field.
Conquering the Course
- Overall, 10 of the 18 teams in the field are ranked in the Top 25 in Golfstat.com Team Rankings including five that are in the top 10
- Among the 18 participating teams are Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Duke, Florida, Furman, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
Leading the Lineup
- The lineup this week will feature Benedetta Moresco, Kenzie Wright, Caroline Curtis, Polly Mack, and Emilie Øverås.
