
Alabama in 11th After 36 Holes at Moon Golf Invitational

Polly Mack and Caroline Curtis paced the Crimson Tide in the second round on Monday
MELBOURNE, Fla. – A pair of Alabama women's golfers posted identical 2-under par 70 scores on Monday to lead the Crimson Tide to an even-par 288 during the second round of the Moon Golf Invitational at Duran Golf Club.
As a team, Alabama sits in a tie for 11th place at 4-over par 580 (292-288) at the conclusion of play in the second round.
South Carolina is in first place with a 10-stroke lead in the team standings with a two-round total of 21-under par 555 (280-275). Pauline Roussin-Bouchard of South Carolina shot a 4-under par 68 and increased her lead in the individual standings to six strokes.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Polly Mack continued to make a move up the individual leaderboard after burying three birdies to finish 2-under par 70 in the second round and sits tied for 12th
- Bendetta Moresco got off to a steady start on Monday, going even on her first 10 holes of the day
- Overall, she enters the final round tied for 20th at one-under par 143
- Getting back to form, Caroline Curtis bounced back from a 5-over par 74 performance on Sunday, carding a team-leading six birdies to finish 2-under par 70 on the day
- Curtis enters the final day tied for 37th at 2-over par 146
- Emilie Øverås and Kenzie Wright are both at a two-day score of 7-over par 151, good for tied 68th in the 93-player field

Next Up
The Crimson Tide will return to the par-72, 6,383-yard Duran Golf Club on Tuesday morning for the final round of competition and have a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. CT. Alabama will be paired with Miami, Illinois and tournament host Louisville for the final 18.
