Monday Matinee: Crimson Tide, Bearkats to Square Off inside Coleman Coliseum Monday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama women's basketball team returns to Coleman Coliseum to host Sam Houston on Monday, Dec. 13 at 11:30 a.m. CT for the annual Fifth Grade Fastbreak event. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network Plus, with Eli Gold and Richard Hendrix on the call.
More than 1,700 students and teachers from 20 elementary schools in the area will be in attendance for the spirited matinee. A triumph over the Bearkats would mark the Crimson Tide's 800th program win.
There is no price of admission to the game, and fans are encouraged to attend. Both single game tickets and season tickets are on sale now at RollTide.com, or fans can call the TIDE PRIDE/Athletic Ticket office at 205-348-BAMA.
Free parking is available to fans in the large parking lot adjacent to Coleman Coliseum.
The Crimson Tide is 8-2 to begin its season and is riding a six-game win streak. Alabama is coming off a dominant 80-64 triumph at Chattanooga on Dec. 5, where the Tide shot over 45 percent from the field for the fourth straight game and outrebounded the Mocs, 43-31, to win the second straight meeting between the two programs. JaMya Mingo-Young had another breakout game, scoring a career-high 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting, while tacking on 11 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. She also dished out a pair of assists and added a couple steals.

- Davis leads the team in 3-point makes with 25, followed by Abrams and Hannah Barber with 20 apiece.
- Eight different players have scored in double figures this season, while five different players have produced 15-plus point games and three different players have produced 20-plus point games.
- UA has outrebounded its opponents in nine of 10 games this season.
