BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was selected as the Southeastern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The conference honor is Anderson Jr.'s fourth of the season and UA's ninth as a team.
Defensive Player of the Week
- Paced the Tide defense with a career-high 12 tackles
- Spent the night in the LSU backfield, contributing four tackles for loss (-13 yards) and 1.5 sacks (-8 yards)
- Added one pass breakup and a pair of quarterback hurries to his stat line
- Played a key role in limiting the Tigers to just 295 yards of total offense
