Bencheikh and Hiser will compete in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket at 3 p.m. CT Saturday
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Alabama women's tennis' Loudmilla Bencheikh and Anne Marie Hiser earned a spot in the consolation quarterfinals after posting a win in the consolation Round of 16 Friday at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
Bencheikh and Hiser matched with Isabella Tcherkes-Zade and Wiktoria Rutowska from Loyola Marymount in the consolation Round of 16. The Crimson Tide doubles team opened the match, battling its way to a 6-4 win. UA tandem continued to build momentum as Bencheikh and Hiser took a dominate 6-0 decision to claim the second set and the match.

The win advanced Bencheikh and Hiser to the quarterfinals in the consolation bracket. The Alabama duo will face Melodie Collard and Hibah Shaikh from Virginia in a 3 p.m. CT match.
