
Alabama Men’s Tennis’ Martin and Planinsek Conclude ITA National Fall Championships

After inclement weather postponed competition Friday, the Crimson Tide will open the UCF Invite at 8 a.m. CT Saturday at the Collegiate Tennis Center in Lake Nona, Fla.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Alabama men's tennis players Juan Martin and Filip Planinsek concluded the ITA National Fall Championships Friday, falling in the consolation Round of 16 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
Martin and Planinsek faced Nebraska's Dario Huber and Victor Moreno Lozano in the consolation Round of 16. The UA duo battled through the opening set, falling just shy with a 6-4 decision. The Tide was unable to shift the moment as the Huskers' pairing of Huber and Moreno Lozano followed with a 6-2 win in the second set to take the match.

After a delay due to inclement weather, the Alabama men's tennis team will open competition Saturday at the UCF Invite at the Collegiate Tennis Center in Lake Nona, Fla. Competition begins at 10 a.m. CT as the Tide faces members from South Florida.
