The Crimson Tide will close the regular season Thursday at home against Auburn

Columbia, S.C. – Alabama soccer (9-8-1, 4-4-1 SEC) fell to South Carolina (10-5-1, 5-3-1), 4-0, Sunday at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

It was a quick start for the Gamecocks as Catherine Barry scored off a rebounded cross from Ryan Gareis a minute into the game. The Gamecocks followed with a goal in the 24^th minute as Samantha Chang got her foot on the end of a free kick taken by Lauren Chang. South Carolina would add one more goal before the conclusion of the half with Barry cutting the ball back to the center of the box for Gareis to hit into the net.

Alabama opened the second half with some opportunities including a corner kick and a shot by Aislin Streicek. Despite the looks on goal for the Tide, South Carolina would again find the back of the net as Taylor Jacobson crossed a ball inside the box for Payton Patrick to deflect into the goal.

Felicia Knox and Bella Scaturro led the team in shots with two apiece
USC's Catherine Berry scored her fifth goal of the season, while Ryan Gareis and Payton Patrick tallied their second. It was Samantha Chang's first goal of the year.
McKinley Crone registered four saves in the game, bringing her career total to 129 at Alabama
Alabama trailed in shots 13-8 and in corner kicks 5-2
