
Will Anderson Jr. Selected as SEC Defensive Player of the Week

The sophomore spent the night in the Mississippi State backfield last Saturday
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was selected as the Southeastern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The conference honor is Anderson Jr.'s third of the season and UA's seventh as a team.
Defensive Player of the Week
- Was nearly unblockable in Starkville, totaling a career-high four tackles for loss (-35 yards) – all of which were sacks
- The tackles for loss were part of his six total stops to go with a pass breakup
- Became the third Crimson Tide defender in program history to post four-plus sacks in a game, joining only Derrick Thomas and Leroy Cook
