First of two meetings between the Crimson Tide and Tigers this season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Crimson Tide women's basketball team returns to the court after a midweek break to host the Auburn Tigers Sunday at Coleman Coliseum. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.

Sunday's game will air live on ESPNU with Sam Gore and Tamika Catchings and can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network (WTBC-AM 1230 in Tuscaloosa) with Roger Hoover the call.
OPENING TIP
- Alabama returns to the court following its first bye week of the Southeastern Conference season to host in-state rival Auburn.
- The Tide stands at 11-2 overall and 4-2 against league opponents heading into Sunday's game.
- Alabama is 5-2 at home with both losses coming against ranked foes.
- The Tide is led by its trio of seniors in Jasmine Walker, Jordan Lewis and Ariyah Copeland. Each averages double-digit points with Walker at 19.8 ppg, Lewis at 16.9 ppg and Copeland at 14.7 ppg, while Walker also pulls in a team-best 10.2 rebounds per contest.
- As a team, Alabama is averaging 77.4 points per game, 11.9 more than its opponents, and 40.9 rebounds per matchup.
- The Tide's 76.8 percent shooting from the free throw line ranks 27th nationally and first in the SEC.
- Sunday's matchup will be the 93rd between the rival Tide and Tigers.
- Alabama won both of last year's meetings, first with a 75-48 decision on the Plains, which was the largest margin of victory against Auburn on its home court.
- The Tide then followed that up with a 68-64 win in Tuscaloosa in which Copeland led the way with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

ABOUT AUBURN
- Auburn comes into Sunday's game with a 5-8 season record and an 0-5 mark in SEC play.
- Last time out, the Tigers were edged at home by the 12th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats, 76-71.
- Auburn's 71 points were the most it has scored in a conference game this season by nearly 20 points.
- The Tigers are led by 2020 Honorable Mention All-American and All-SEC First Team member Unique Thompson, who leads the team in points (18.6 ppg), rebounds (14.6 rpg) and steals (2.8 spg).

- The Lady Vols would lead by 19 at the half and go on to lead by as many as 29 in the contest.
- Lewis scored in double figures for the ninth time in the 11 games she's played in this season and had over 20 points for the fifth time in 2020-21.
- Walker has had a double-double in four-straight games, the longest streak since Tierney Jenkins had eight in a row during the 2010-11 season.
