Alabama Rowing Lands Program-High 36 Student-Athletes on Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team

The Crimson Tide leads the Big 12 for the fourth consecutive year in most overall rowers featured
IRVING, Texas – A program-high 36 Alabama student-athletes earned a spot on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team, as announced by the conference office Friday. The Crimson Tide led the league for the fourth consecutive year in most overall athletes recognized on the team. This year's honorees consist of 33 featured on the First Team and three on the Second Team.
Twenty-one of the 197 honorees between the league's seven affiliate schools posted perfect 4.0 GPAs, with Alabama accounting for four of those.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to a 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshman and transfer students are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
