Alabama's Kevin Li Finals on Day One of the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships

The sophomore tallied 706.30 points over 12 dives between prelims and finals in the Ramsey Center in Athens, Ga.
ATHENS, Ga. – Alabama's Kevin Li made the finals of the 3-meter springboard Monday at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships being held at the Ramsey Center in Athens, Ga., this week, taking 12th place overall.
The sophomore tallied 337.25 points over six dives in prelims to take 15th place and move on to the 18-diver final. He then scored 369.05 points over six more dives, combining for 706.30 overall and climbing three places from prelims, missing a slot at the NCAA Championships by four places.
In addition to moving up from prelims to finals, Li also moved up seven places from his 2019 Zone B finish off the 3-meter, when he was 19th after prelims, missing finals by one spot.
More Day One at the Zone B Championships
- In addition to Li, sophomore Hunter Jaynes finished 22nd off the 3-meter board with 304.60 points in prelims.
- In the women's 1-meter event, freshman Tanesha Lucoe was 23rd with 244.15 points over six dives.
- Sophomores Natalie Donkle (221.85) and Halia Bower (219.60), took 37th and 39th, respectively, off the 1-meter board.
Coming Up at the Zone B Championships
- The men and women switch events on Tuesday, with the women competing off the 3-meter board and the men taking to the 1-meter board.
- Both the men and women will compete off the platform on Wednesday.

- The Crimson Tide women are already sending 11 swimmers to the NCAA Championships, which will also be held in Athens, Ga., March 18-21.
- Swimmers advancing to the men's NCAA Championships will be announced Wednesday, March 11. The men's championships will be held March 25-28 in Indianapolis, Ind.
