Alba Cortina Pou Named SEC Player of the Week

This is the senior's first Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honor of her career
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the first time in her career, senior Alba Cortina Pou was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Cortina Pou kept her perfect singles and doubles record intact after going 2-0 in both out in California over the weekend. Pou won both of her singles matches at the No. 3 spot and her doubles matches at the No. 2 spot. She is now 5-0 in singles play and 5-0 in doubles competition this season, helping lead Alabama to a 6-0 season mark.
Up next, Cortina Pou and the Crimson Tide will play at home against Michigan State on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. inside the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Indoor Tennis Facility.
