The Crimson Tide will partner with the Grand Slammers for a fun-filled event on Saturday morning
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama baseball's third week of practice begins on Monday afternoon as the Tide enters its final week of practice before the start to the 2020 season.
The Crimson Tide will practice on Monday at 2:30 p.m. CT to start the week off followed by a scrimmage on Tuesday with first pitch slated for 3 p.m. The team will then take part in a final weekend of practice-scrimmage splits from Friday through Sunday. The Friday schedule features a 2 p.m. start to the day followed by a 3:30 p.m. intrasquad. Saturday is set to begin at 1 p.m. with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch in the scrimmage and things will wrap up on Sunday with the Tide's usual 10 a.m. workout followed by an 11:30 a.m. scrimmage.
Saturday will also be Alabama baseball's Fan Day. The day-long event will feature a Youth Clinic, autographs and the annual Grand Slammers Barbeque inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility before the team moves to Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
The morning begins with a Youth Clinic hosted by the Crimson Tide baseball staff and players. The instructional session is open to children, 6-14 years old (non-high school aged), and is free to the first 80 kids to register online through RollTide.com or by clicking here. Check-in for the clinic will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT with the instructional session running from 10-11 a.m. Following the youth clinic, all attendees can get autographs from the Tide players during the 11-11:30 a.m. time slot before head coach Brad Bohannon introduces the 2020 Crimson Tide roster.
After the meet and greet, the Grand Slammers will host their annual barbeque. Admittance to the lunch is free to current Grand Slammers members and will be free to all campers. The club will also offer tickets for non-members - $10 youth tickets (12 and under) and $15 adult tickets. Those interested in a membership to the Grand Slammers can register on-site.
Alabama will take part in its final week of full-team workouts leading up to game week with the season opener on Friday, Feb. 14, against Northeastern. Season and flex plan ticket packages along with single-game tickets are currently available for the 2020 campaign at The Joe.
