Alabama Rowing to Open Spring Season Hosting Eastern Michigan and Southern Methodist

Saturday’s race will be the first of two spring regattas on the Black Warrior River
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After a three-month break from competition, the Alabama Rowing team returns to the water to kick off the 2020 spring season, hosting Eastern Michigan and Southern Methodist. The event will begin at 9 a.m. CT and will include five races.
This event is the first of six spring races for the Crimson Tide, leading up to the Big 12 Championships in May. It marks the first of two home races, with the second being held on March 21 against conference-foe Tennessee.

"We are looking forward to getting on the racecourse in front of our home crowd and seeing where we are this early in the season. SMU and EMU are two well-coached teams that will give our crews all they can handle. It's been four months since we competed against another program and it should be fun."
