From Coach Husack
- "We had two themes from today's Texas Tech match," said head coach George Husack. "First, was when we had control, we wanted to keep our foot on the pedal with a strong sense of urgency and we did that as seen in the performances by Riccardo (Roberto) and Edson (Ortiz). Secondly, when we didn't have control, we wanted to make adjustments and claw our way back into matches to gain control. That was evident with Alexey (Nesterov) and Jeremy (Gschwendtner), who were both down big in their matches and turned the tables. It was a terrific effort by those guys."
Doubles (vs. Texas Tech)
- The two sides did not play doubles due to a weather delay.

- The Red Raiders stormed back with two wins from No. 74 Ilgiz Valiev and Franco Ribero to make it 3-2. On court six, Gschwendtner dropped the first set to Bjorn Thomson, 6-7(2), before responding with a 6-3 second set. In the third, Gschwendtner quickly fell down 0-3, before seeing the score go to 2-5. Gschwendtner found a way to force the tiebreaker at 6-6, when he ultimately prevailed 7-3 in the breaker.
