Crimson Tide falls to 11th overall in Monday’s second round of play

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – Alabama ended the second round of play at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate on Monday with a 7-over par 287 and fell to 11^th overall after 36 holes of play. The Crimson Tide will enter the final round with a team total of 3-over par 563 (276-287).

The three day, 54-hole event, which features all 14 Southeastern Conference teams and is being held on the par-70, 7,204-yard Old Overton Club, will conclude on Tuesday.

ROUND TWO HIGHLIGHTS

The Tide has three players who are tied for 20^th overall after 36 holes of action
Wilson Furr (67-72), Tyler Lipscomb (68-71) and Thomas Ponder (67-72) are all at 1-under par 139 across the two rounds played
Lipscomb's 1-over par round of 71 led the Crimson Tide on Monday
Davis Shore (74-73/147) and Canon Claycomb (76-72/148) round out the Alabama lineup in 63^rd and 68^th, respectively

TEAM TOTALS

Alabama dropped six spots into 11^th overall after 36 holes played
Vanderbilt (542) took advantage of shooting 8-under par on Monday to overtake Georgia (544) for the clubhouse lead heading into Tuesday's final round
Auburn (545), who also shot 8-under in the second round, vaulted into third overall followed by Tennessee (551) and South Carolina (553) to round out the top five

FUN FACT

Across Monday's opening 13 holes as a team, the Crimson Tide was a combined 11-over par. However, over the final five holes Alabama went for a combined total of 6-under par
