
Alabama Football Holds Third Practice of the Week Wednesday

Nick Saban was named to the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year watch list
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team held its second full-pad practice of the week, working for two hours at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields on Wednesday.

Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Watch List
Earlier today, head coach Nick Saban was named to the 2020 American Heart Association Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year watch list, which honors the top college coach while raising lifesaving funds and awareness.
The Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year is the only college coaching honor selected after all postseason bowl games and the National Championship conclude. The winner will be announced live on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, during a virtual awards ceremony benefiting the American Heart Association.
Maxwell Football Club Watch Lists
Also on Wednesday, the Maxwell Football Club today announced the expansion of its 2020 watch lists for both the 84th Maxwell Award and the 26th Chuck Bednarik Award. Alabama quarterback Mac Jones was added to the Maxwell Award watch list, while linebacker Will Anderson Jr. was tabbed to the Chuck Bednarik Award watch list.
Semifinalists for the Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced on Monday, Nov. 30 and three finalists for each award will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 8. The winners of the 2020 Maxwell and Bednarik Awards will be announced as part of the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show which will be publicized at a date shortly.
