Polly Mack Stands in Third After Second Round of Blessing Collegiate

The senior continues to pace the Crimson Tide at the challenging Blessings Golf Club
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Senior Polly Mack fired a 1-under par 71 to lead the Alabama women's golf team on Tuesday's second round of the Blessing Collegiate Invitational presented by Tyson Foods at Blessings Golf Club.
The Crimson Tide (307-309/616) stands in 11th with the final round of stroke play set for Wednesday on the challenging par-72, 6,171-yard course. The Arkansas Razorbacks hold a 10-stroke lead on their home course at even-par 576 (289-287), while LSU (293-293/586) and South Carolina (305-287/592) round out the top three.
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Mack finished with the lowest score from Alabama of the tournament through two rounds.
- The Berlin, Germany, native is 1-under par 143 (72-71) for the week and sits in third place, just five-strokes back from matching second place with LSU's Ingrid Lindblad (67-71/138).
- The senior's eight birdies through two days are tied for the third-most in the field.
- Graduate student Kenzie Wright was even-par through the first four holes but struggled to find consistency throughout the round, before closing the day in a tie for 38th (75-80/155).
- For the second straight day, junior Angelica Moresco (79-79/158) turned in 7-over par 79 and sits tied for 48th.
- Sophomore Caroline Curtis (81-79/160) made a two-stroke improvement and is tied for 55th overall for the tournament.
- Sophomore Emilie Øverås (83-79/162) improved her score by four strokes and is in a tie for 65th place through two rounds.
