Both the Crimson Tide men and women earned the team honor for the fall 2019 semester
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned Scholar All-America Team recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the fall 2019.
The Crimson Tide women posted a 3.52 team grade point average to once again earn the team honor. The men's team posted a 3.49 GPA, which makes them one of just two teams to finish in the top-15 both at the 2019 NCAA Championships and this fall by team grade point average, with the other squad being Harvard.
"This program has a long and storied tradition of academic excellence," UA head coach Coley Stickels said. "We're proud that our student-athletes are striving to get better every day in both the pool and the classroom. That kind of focus and drive is crucial to achieving our goals as individuals and as a team."
