Spring Practice Begins on Friday, Signaling the Start of Baseball’s 2020 Season

The Crimson Tide will meet as a full team for the first time this spring with a practice and scrimmage on Friday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama baseball team will officially begin its 2020 spring season with the Crimson Tide's first full-team practice on Friday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. CT. The team will also take part in an intrasquad scrimmage on Friday afternoon and maintain the practice-scrimmage schedule through the weekend.
The Crimson Tide will take the field at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon for a practice session leading up to a 3:30 p.m. first pitch in the split-squad scrimmage. The rest of the weekend will follow the same pattern, with practice scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. first pitch in the scrimmage on Saturday and Sunday slated for a 10 a.m. start to practice and an 11:30 a.m. intrasquad.
Also on Saturday, the Tide baseball team will be at the men's basketball game signing autographs on the main concourse. Fans can come pick up the 2020 poster, meet the team and get autographs from 4:15-4:45 p.m. prior to Alabama's matchup on the hardwood with Kansas State.
Alabama will take part in three weeks of full-team workouts leading up to the season opener on Friday, Feb. 14, against Northeastern. Season and flex plan ticket packages are currently available for the 2020 campaign at The Joe. Fans interested in purchasing their season or flex plan ticket packages can log on to RollTide.com or visit the Alabama Athletics Ticket Office located inside Coleman Coliseum. All times are subject to change. The length of scrimmages will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team's regularly scheduled practice sessions. Dates and times of all upcoming practices and scrimmages can be found on RollTide.com at the beginning of each new week.
Admission to Sewell-Thomas Stadium for Alabama baseball's on-field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter The Joe through the main gates (Gates 1-3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper levels of the stadium strictly prohibited.
