TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball bolstered its 2020 roster with the addition of right-side hitter Kennedy Muckelroy, who joins the Crimson Tide after playing her freshman season at FAU.
Last season with the Owls, she played in 34 sets across 15 matches, totaling 55 kills with a .293 hitting percentage while adding eight blocks.
"I first saw Kennedy in her junior year when we were out recruiting," UA head coach Lindsey Devine said. "She had great physicality and a competitive approach to the game, but she was already committed. Once I heard she was transferring, I scheduled a phone call to get to know her better. After several calls and an on-campus visit it was evident that Kennedy had matured through this process. Her on-court skills have continued to develop along with the strength and speed needed to play at this level."
A Houston, Texas native, Muckelroy was a first team all-district honoree her senior season at George Ranch High School. She was the district co-offensive player of the year and also earned all-state and academic all-state recognition. She was an honorable mention Under Armour All-American and was twice named to the AVCA Phenom list.
