Patrick Kaukovalta and Zhe Zhou Set to Travel to Milwaukee Tennis Classic

Doubles will start on Friday at 8 a.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama junior Patrick Kaukovalta and senior Zhe Zhou open their fall season at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Friday, Sept. 20 through Monday, Sept. 23, in Milwaukee, Wisc. The two will open with one round of doubles and one round of singles on Friday morning.
Tournament Info
- The duo is set to play against Kesaris/Watt of Saint Mary's at 8 a.m. CT in the first round of doubles.
- Zhou will compete against No. 43 Richard Ciamarra of Notre Dame in singles, at no earlier than 9:30 a.m. CT on Friday morning on Court 11.
- Kaukovalta enters the tournament as the No. 12 seed in singles. He will begin his fall campaign against No. 58 Bradley Frye of Southern California following the completion of the 9:30 a.m., match on Court 13.
Player Info
- Kaukovalta won the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Singles Championship last fall. He also had 17 wins in singles competition in his sophomore campaign.
- A season ago, Zhou finished second on the team with a 19-9 singles mark and ended his junior season by winning his last four singles matches.
- This will be the first time the two will play together in doubles action.
