Kenzie Wright Paces Crimson Tide Women's Golf in Round Two of ANNIKA Intercollegiate

No. 24 Alabama in 10th heading into the final day of play
LAKE ELMO, Minn. – Alabama women's golfer senior Kenzie Wright shot a 1-under par 71 Tuesday to pace the No. 24 Crimson Tide during the second round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Royal Golf Club.
As a team, Alabama carded a 6-over par 294 during Tuesday's second round and will enter the final 18 holes of play in 10th place with a 36-hole total of 589 (295-294).
In a stacked field that includes 11 teams ranked among the nation's top-25 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association Preseason Rankings, 2019 NCAA runner-up Wake Forest leads the field by 6 strokes at 12-under par 564, while No 1. University of Southern California sits in second place at 6-under par 570.
A LOOK AT THE ALABAMA LINE-UP
- Senior Kenzie Wright recorded a second consecutive round of 1-under par 71 and is in a tie for 11th overall (71-71/142). The senior leads the 60-player field on par 3 (2.75) and par 5 (4.38) averages after 36 holes played.
- Alabama registered a trio of players in a tie for 50th overall after two rounds. Freshmen Caroline Curtis (77-72/149) made a five-stroke improvement from Monday's opening round thanks to five birdies Curtis turned in a second round at even par 72. Juniors Polly Mack (72-77/149) and Angelica Moresco (75-74/149) look to make moves up the leaderboard in the final round of action.
- Freshmen Emilie Øverås (78-77/155) rounds out the Crimson Tide starting five in 55th.
