
Women’s Tennis Puts Seven on ITA Scholar-Athlete Team for Third Straight Year

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the third consecutive year the Alabama women's tennis team had seven members earn Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete status this season while the Crimson Tide also earned ITA All-Academic Team recognition. The seven honorees tied for first among the teams in the Southeastern Conference.
The seven listed as 2018-19 ITA Scholar Athletes include Moka Ito, Alba Cortina Pou, Andie Daniell, Luca Fabian, Kimberley Gintrand, Kylie Moulin and Jacqueline Pelletier.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners are factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2016 and spring 2017).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: Be a varsity letter winner; have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year; and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
