
Krystal Rivers Selected to USA Volleyball Pan Am Games Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Alabama alum Krystal Rivers was selected to USA Volleyball's 12-member women's indoor volleyball roster that is set to compete at the 2019 Pan American Games Aug. 7-11 in Lima, Peru.
Rivers, one of two opposite hitters on the roster, joins a Team USA team ranked No. 3 in the world by FIVB and looking to defend its Pan American Games title. Team USA will be grouped in Pool B along with Brazil, Argentina and Puerto Rico. Pool A contains the Dominican Republic, Canada, Peru and Columbia. Three days of round robin play begins Aug. 7, with semifinal and classification matches for places five through eight on Aug. 10 and medal-round matches on Aug. 11.
Rivers, a four-year All-American from 2013-16 at Alabama, ended her Crimson Tide career as the school's career leader with 2,148 kills and 2,506 points. As a senior, she was named the SEC Player of the Year, leading the league in kills (705) and points (803.5).
