Alabama Rowing Places League-Leading 29 on Academic All-Big 12 Rowing Team

The Crimson Tide racked up five perfect GPAs, second-most among league
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced its 2019 Academic All-Big 12 Rowing team with Alabama leading the league with 29 student-athletes on the list, including 25 first-team honorees.
Eighteen of the 165 rowing honorees between the league's eight affiliate schools posted perfect 4.0 GPAs, with Alabama accounting for five of those.
The second team consists of student-athletes with a GPA between 3.00-3.19, while the first team award winners hold GPAs of 3.20-plus.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher, either cumulative or the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent-of-participation are also eligible.
