Alabama Finishes Regular Season on the Road at Missouri

The Crimson Tide and Tigers will face off on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Columbia, Mo.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama women's basketball team will finish its regular season when it takes on Missouri on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m. CT in Mizzou Arena. Last time out, the Crimson Tide (13-15, 5-10 SEC) grinded out a 46-43 win over Ole Miss at home, while the Tigers (20-9, 9-6 SEC) defeated Arkansas on the road.
THE BROADCAST
• Sunday's contest will be streamed live on SEC Network +. Ben Arnet (play-by-play) and Jarrett Sutton (analyst) will be on the call.
• The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network on 100.1 FM in Tuscaloosa with Roger Hoover on the broadcast.

• Alabama will finish out the regular season on the road against Missouri on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m. CT inside Mizzou Arena.
• Last time out, the Crimson Tide (13-15, 5-10 SEC) bounced back with a gritty 46-43 win over Ole Miss on Thursday night at home, while the Tigers (20-9, 9-6 SEC) went on the road and defeated Arkansas, 73-67.
• This is the 11th meeting between the two schools with Missouri holding the 6-4 all-time advantage. The last meeting between the Tigers and Crimson Tide was on December 31, 2017 with No. 16 Missouri taking the 62-56 win in Tuscaloosa. Missouri has won two-straight meetings against the Alabama however the Tide has won three of the four times its traveled to Columbia.
ABOUT MISSOURI
• Mizzou has its fourth-consecutive 20-win season after defeating Arkansas on Thursday night.
• The Tigers are led by senior Sophie Cunningham who is the SEC active leader in career points with 2,060 during her four years at Mizzou. Amber Smith is the only other Mizzou player who averages double figures with 12.7 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds.
• Missouri is first in the conference in field goal percentage defense and it also the top three-point shooting team in the SEC.
• The Tigers received two votes in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and were ranked as high as No. 16 this season.
NEWS AND NOTES
• With the SEC Tournament beginning next week in Greenville, S.C., Alabama looks to be a lock as the No. 11 seed and would play on the first day of the tournament against the loser of Florida/Vanderbilt. However, there is a chance that the Tide could move up to the No. 10 seed and earn a first round bye. The Tide needs to defeat Missouri and have Ole Miss pull off the upset at home against Tennessee for Alabama to move up to No. 10 and play the No. 7 seed on Thursday.
• Cierra Johnson is coming off three-straight impressive performances after pouring in 25 points against Vanderbilt (2/21) and picking up double-doubles in her last two times out. Johnson became the first UA player since Ashley Williams in 2014 to score 20-plus points in back-to-back games with 25 at Vanderbilt and 23 versus Georgia. Johnson picked up her first career double-double in the overtime loss against Georgia after adding 12 rebounds and five assists to her 23-point performance. The Mobile, Ala., native is the first Alabama player since 2013 to have 20-10-5 in a game. Most recently, Johnson put in 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds in the win against Ole Miss (2/28).
• Sophomore Jasmine Walker is currently the second leading scorer among active members on the team and is the leading rebounder with 12.7 points (22nd in SEC) and 7.8 rebounds per game. Walker also leads the team with six double-doubles this season and has eight games in which she has registered double-digit rebounds. Her 7.8 rebounds per contest ranks 9th in the SEC.
• As a team Alabama has 13 total double-doubles this season, which is the most for a Crimson Tide squad since 2010-11 when UA earned 22 double-doubles throughout the year.
• Getting off to a hot start has been key for the Tide this season, when leading at half UA is 11-1, while when trailing, 2-14.
