
No. 18 Alabama Travels to No. 10 Mississippi State on Thursday Before Hosting Ole Miss on Saturday

The Crimson Tide will take on the Bulldogs at 1 p.m. and the Rebels at 1 p.m.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – No. 18 Alabama will hit the road to take on No. 10 Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, before hosting No. 43 Ole Miss at the Alabama Tennis Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
The Crimson Tide (12-4, 2-2 SEC) is coming off a weekend where it split its road matches by first falling 5-2 at No. 44 Kentucky and then rebounding with a 5-2 win at No. 26 Vanderbilt.
The bottom part of the Alabama lineup has been a difference so far in conference season with sophomores Riccardo Roberto and Jeremy Gschwendtner. Roberto is 8-0 in dual match play, including a 3-0 record in SEC play, while Gschwendtner is 7-1 and also 3-0 in league play. No. 36 senior Mazen Osama is 3-1 in conference play, while junior Edson Ortiz boasts a team-best 12-2 record in 2019.
In doubles play this season, UA has been led by No. 17 Osama and sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta, who are coming off a 2-0 weekend to improve their record to 9-3 on the season.
Mississippi State came in at No. 10 for the second consecutive week in the latest rankings. The Bulldogs are led by All-American Nuno Borges who is the No. 3-ranked singles player in the country. Giovanni Oradini is the other MSU singles player that is nationally-ranked, coming in at No. 102. Mississippi State has two doubles duos in the top-10. Niclas Braun and Oradini are No. 3 in the nation, while Borges and Strahinja Rakic are No. 7.
Ole Miss and Alabama have already met this season in the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic on Feb. 22 with the Rebels earning the 4-2 win. The Rebels are seeking its first SEC win after most recently falling to No. 29 South Carolina, 4-3, on Sunday, March 10 in Columbia. The Rebels have one player ranked in singles in No. 73 Tim Sandkaulen and two doubles pairs ranked in No. 5 Fabian Fallert and Finn Reynolds, along with No. 75 Filip Kraljevic and Sandkaulen.
Saturday's match will serve as Net Generation Night and will be streamed live via RollTide.com.
