The Crimson Tide will look to rebound at home on Saturday against Ole Miss

STARKVILLE, Miss. – The No. 18-ranked Alabama men's tennis team fell to No. 10 Mississippi State, 4-1, on Thursday night at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville, Miss. The Bulldogs improve to 12-3 overall and 4-1 in Southeastern Conference play with the win, while the Crimson Tide fall to 12-5 on the season and 2-3 in SEC competition.

After a four-hour rain delay pushed the match back, MSU came out strong and won the doubles point on courts one and two to go up 1-0.

In singles the Bulldogs extended its lead to 2-0 after picking up a victory on court one. The Tide fought back as sophomore Jeremy Gschwendtner dominated on court six, winning 6-0, 6-3, against Florian Broska.

The Bulldogs struck again on court two to push the advantage to 3-1, before clinching the match in two sets on court three to seal the 4-1 victory.

Alabama will return home for its next match against No. 43 Ole Miss on Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. inside the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The match will be streamed live via RollTide.com.
