
Men’s Tennis Comes in at No. 23 in Latest National Rankings

Senior Mazen Osama also moved up one spot to No. 40 in singles
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama men's tennis team came in at No. 23 in the latest Oracle/ITA National Team Rankings and in the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 Rankings, the organizations announced on Wednesday. Senior Mazen Osama moved up one spot to No. 40 in the Oracle/ITA Singles Rankings.
Alabama is coming off its first loss of the season against Minnesota on Friday, Feb. 1, 4-3. The Tide was previously ranked No. 19 in the Oracle/ITA rankings and No. 18 in the Tennis Channel/USTA rankings.
Osama has begun his senior campaign with a 4-2 record in singles competition, while holding down the No. 1 spot for the Tide.
Next up for Alabama is its first road trip of 2019, when the team goes out to California to play against San Diego State on Friday, Feb. 8 in San Diego, Calif., and Pepperdine on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Malibu, Calif.
