
De’Sha Benjamin Out for Season with Broken Foot

The freshman suffered a broken foot in the game against Georgia on Sunday
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Freshman guard De'Sha Benjamin is out for the season after suffering a broken foot in Sunday's overtime loss to Georgia.
Benjamin was tops on the Tide bench and freshmen class with 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 25 games this season. The Augusta, Ga., native led the team in three-point percentage (36.5 percent) and was second on the squad in free throw percentage (76.1 percent).
Benjamin has scored in double-digits on eight occasions this season and was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week back on Dec. 18, becoming the first freshman since the 2016-17 season to earn the honor.
