Alabama Volleyball Adds Four During Early Signing Period

The group will join the Crimson Tide for the 2020 season
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama volleyball added four student-athletes during the early signing period. The group will join the Crimson Tide for the 2020 season.
"Our staff has identified key traits that we believe are important to the future success for the Alabama volleyball program," UA head coach Lindsey Devine said. "After meeting these players and learning more about who they were as individuals, it was clear that their personal values aligned with the philosophy and culture that we are building here at the University of Alabama."
The four are listed alphabetically below:
CHAISE CAMPBELL
Middle Blocker – St. Petersburg Fla. – Shorecrest Preparatory School
- Won 2018 4A state championship
- 2018 All Tampa Bay First Team and All Pinellas County First Team
- Placed third at 2018 AAUs in the national division with St. Pete Volleyball Club
- Qualified for the 2018 Triple Crown Tournament
- 2018 Team Florida National Team member
- Also threw the shot put, placing ninth at the 2018 state meet in her first year competing in the event
DEVINE ON CHAISE CAMPBELL
"Chaise has a high ceiling of opportunity in front of her. She is a gifted athlete and our staff is excited to help further develop her skills to be very impactful for our team in the future. She has an 'alpha' quality that we want in all our players. Her drive to learn and compete are among the many reasons why Chaise was recruited here to play at Alabama."
KENDYL REAUGH
Outside Hitter – Highland Park, Texas – Highland Park High School
- Two-time Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-State
- Two-time District 11-5A First Team All-District
- 2017 Texas Association of Volleyball Coaches 5A All-State
- Two-time MVP of her club team, Skyline Juniors
- Played four years as US Open Nationals, finishing fifth in 2017
DEVINE ON KENDYL REAUGH
"Kendyl is a standout player on her team. She is a smart and powerful attacker in both the front and back row and is a brick-wall blocker. We are excited to see her grow given her relentless competitive mindset."
VICTORIA SCHMER
Defensive Specialist – Chelsea, Ala. – Chelsea High School
- 2019 AVCA Under Armour All-America Watch List
- Two-time AAU All-American
- 2019 All Star South Team MVP
- 2018 Birmingham All-Region Team
- 2018 All-South Metro First Team
- Two-time Chelsea High School Defensive Player of the Year

- Won the 2A state title in 2017 and finished third in 2018

- 2018 First Team All-Conference

- Set school record for career blocks by her junior year
- Competed with Illini Elite Volleyball Club
DEVINE ON ALEXANDRA TRAME
"Allie is going to be able to thrive in our system. As a middle, she is quick off the floor when she attacks and values the importance of the block. Allie approaches her game with a mental toughness and looks at competition as a challenge. She embraces each risk with positivity and enthusiasm, which will strengthen our team culture."
