Quick Turnaround as Alabama Hosts Bethune-Cookman for Annual 5th Grade Fastbreak Game on Tuesday Morning

The Crimson Tide and Wildcats are set to tip-off at 11:30 a.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama continues its home stand with the 13th annual 5th Grade Fastbreak game against Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide (7-3) is coming off its impressive win over North Carolina, while the Wildcats (6-2) dropped a road matchup with Auburn on Sunday.
This is only the third meeting between the two teams with the last meeting coming on Dec. 18, 2003 in Orlando. The Tide came out on top 77-44. In their first meeting on Dec. 18, 1995 in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide dominated the Wildcats, 94-35.

• The Tide has scored by committee with seven different players averaging seven points or more on the season. Leading the charge is redshirt junior guard Jordan Lewis with 12.2 points, while junior Jasmine Walker is putting up 10.4 points per contest.
• The Crimson Tide is 11-1 all-time against current Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference teams, with its only loss coming to Florida A&M in 2009
• Since returning home from the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, sophomore transfer Brittany Davis has started to find her groove. Davis has scored in double figures in each of the last three games for a team-high 15.3 points per contest in that span. In her last game, the Manchester, Ga., native dropped a career-high 23 points on an impressive 10-of-12 shooting. She also tied her career-best with three three-point makes, while in addition grabbing a career-high five rebounds. For the season, Davis leads the team, shooting 39 percent from beyond the arc.
• With three blocks against UNC, senior Ashley Knight passed Alabama great Yolanda Watkins for the most blocks in UA history. She currently has 188 career blocks, which is the most actively in the SEC.
• The Alabama bench has outscored its opponents, 342-163, in nine games this season. The reserves have accounted for 45 percent of the Tide's scoring, with its third and fourth scorers in senior Cierra Johnson (9.4) and Davis (8.9) leading the way.

• The Wildcats suffered its second loss of the season after falling to Auburn on Sunday, 74-56.
• BC is led by Daniella Hatcher who is the team's only double-digit scorer with 13.5 points per contest.
• Head Coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis is seeking her 300th career win as she currently has a 299-299 record in 21 years as a head coach. At Bethune-Cookman, Blair-Lewis is in her 12th year and has a 179-164 mark at the school.
• Last season, the Wildcats made their first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after winning the MEAC Tournament Championship. The No. 16 seed fell to No. 1 seed Notre Dame in the first round of play.
