Gray rallied back from a 3-0 deficit to even things up and send the game to extras with Williamson coming through in the 10th
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sophomore Drew Williamson's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th helped the Gray squad walk it off and claim the Fall World Series title in Alabama baseball's annual Crimson vs. Gray intrasquad.
The Crimson team got out to an early 1-0 advantage on Friday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Crimson then added single tallies in consecutive innings to make it 3-0 late into the game. Gray was then able to post a three-spot, forcing extra innings. With the bases loaded and one down in the 10th, Williamson sent a ball to deep to center, allowing the runner to score from third for the win.
From Head Coach Brad Bohannon
"Today was a really good way to finish our Fall team segment with a highly energetic, very competitive scrimmage. We threw a lot of strikes, defended the field really well and manufactured some runs. The kids focused at a high level for 10 innings while playing loose, and I'm hopeful that we can bring that mentality to the park consistently in the Spring."

- Sophomore Tyler Ras got the Gray team out of a bases-loaded jam in the 10th to bring the home team to the dish with a chance to win the game.
- With the bases loaded and one down, Williamson sent a flyout deep to center to allow the runner from third to tag for game-winning run.
- Connor Prielipp was impressive in his start for Crimson. The freshman tossed 4.1 innings, striking out six in the process.
