Boswell inks a seven-month contract for Israeli team, Emek Hefer
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Former Alabama soccer standout Abbie Boswell has signed a contract with Emek Hefer, the organization has announced earlier this month. Emek Hefer is a first division premiere soccer team in Kfar Monash, Israel.
"I am so excited for Abbie," head coach Wes Hart said. "What an awesome opportunity for her. I cannot wait to see what she is able to do in Israel."
After transferring from Ball State her freshman year, Abbie Boswell became a regular in the Crimson Tide's starting lineup and ranked among the top in individual scoring records in several offensive categories. In her three years playing at the Capstone, the multifaceted forward saw action in 75 games, and started in 67. She accumulated 28 goals and 15 assists and also broke Alabama's all-time shots attempted record with 226 shots.
As a junior in 2017, Boswell earned All-Conference Second Team honors as well as assisted in leading the team to its third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
Her contract with Emek Hefer is for seven months, where she will have the ability to resign or play elsewhere.
