Crimson Tide Looks to Continue Win Streak at South Point Thanksgiving Shootout in Las Vegas

Alabama will play Northern Iowa on Friday, Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. CT and then versus Southern Cal on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 10 p.m. CT
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama closes out its November slate with two games in the 2019 South Point Thanksgiving Shootout this week, first against Northern Iowa on Friday at 10 p.m. CT and then against Southern California on Saturday at 10 p.m. CT inside South Point Arena. The Crimson Tide (4-1) has won its last four games including going 3-0 on the road.
This is the second time that the Tide has met up with Northern Iowa, with the first coming on Nov. 29, 2008 in a consolation game in the Nugget Classic in Reno, Nev., and UA coming out on top, 76-56. Alabama will take on the Trojans on Saturday for the first time in program history.

Opening Tip
• Through the first five games this season, senior guard Cierra Johnson leads Alabama with 12.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 steals per contest off the bench. Redshirt junior Jordan Lewis is coming off of her 21-point performance and averages 11.0 points per game, junior Jasmine Walker is also putting up 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds.
• The Tide is 1-3 all-time in the city of Las Vegas, with the last time it played in Vegas was in 1990. Alabama went 1-1 in its tournament in 1990, while going 0-2 in its first appearance back in 1984.
• Alabama is on a four-game win streak since dropping its season opener to Hampton. UA has won three-straight non-conference road games for the first time since 2000.
• UA has won all four of its games by double figures with a 22.5 scoring margin during the streak.
• Alabama is outscoring its opponents 115-56 in the second frame.
• UA is averaging 7.6 three-point makes per game which is fourth in the SEC. Against Tulane, Lewis knocked down a career-high six threes in the win. Lewis shot 6-of-7 from beyond the arc, with three more coming from rest of the Tide.
About UNI
• The Panthers are a perfect 5-0 on the season including two wins over Power 5 opponents after defeating Missouri (Nov. 13) and Iowa (Nov. 17).
• Karli Rucker leads UNI with 13 points and 3.4 assists per game, Kam Finley is averaging 12.2 points, while Megan Maahs is scoring 11.4 points and grabbing 5.6 rebounds per contest.
• UNI is led by 13th-year head coach Tanya Warren who is the program's all-time winningest coach. Under Warren, the Panthers have been to the postseason in nine of the last 10 seasons.
About USC
• After starting the season 3-0, the Trojans have lost their last two games, at UCSB and then at home against No. 6 Texas A&M in Los Angeles.
• USC has four players averaging double figures with Endyia Rogers leading the way with 12.4 ppg, along with Stephanie Watts (11.3), Aliyah Jeune (10.8) and Alissa Pili (10.0).
• Head Coach Mark Trakh is in his second stint with the USC program, as he resigned back in 2009 for personal reasons and was rehired for the 2017-18 campaign. As a college coach, Trakh has an overall record of 413-278 in 23 years, with eight NCAA Tournament trips.
