
Alabama Men’s Basketball Signs Four-Star Prospect Keon Ambrose-Hylton

The 6-8, 200-pound forward who is listed as the No. 58 overall prospect according to ESPN inks his NLI to become the Crimson Tide’s first signee of the 2020 class
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats officially announced the addition of one of the top players at his position with the signing of 6-8, 200-pound forward Keon Ambrose-Hylton on Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Ambrose-Hylton is a consensus four-star signee who is rated as high as the No. 58 overall player according to ESPN. Additionally, the athletic and versatile forward is ranked as the No. 2 player in Canada's entire 2020 class.
"Keon is a long, athletic skilled wing player that is capable of playing multiple positions on the floor," Oats said. "He's a gym rat that has significantly improved his skill level in the last couple years and we anticipate that to continue. He's a terrific young man with high character that's going to add a lot to our culture we're building here. We've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and his mother Michelle through the recruiting process. We are ecstatic that he is joining our family and can't wait to get him here as a part of the University of Alabama men's basketball program."

- Originally hails from Toronto, Ontario but played his high school ball at Andrews Osborne Academy in Willoughby, Ohio
- Competed in the FIBA World Cup for the Canadian National Under 17 Team in 2017 and the Under 19 National Team in 2019
- Also competed at the prestigious Basketball Without Borders Global Camp in February 2019
- Ran with UPLAY Canada under head coach Dwayne Washington on the Nike EYBL circuit and averaged 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and a block per game
- Was teammates with fellow signee Josh Primo on UPlay
- In the prestigious Peach Jam Invitational, he averaged 20.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.8 steals per game
- Chose Alabama over the likes of Dayton, Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina State and USC, among others
