Crimson Tide records two top-three individual finishes at the Country Club of Landfall

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Alabama women's golf team finished 2-under par 862 (285-278-299) on Sunday to claim runner-up honors at the Landfall Tradition on the Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall.

Two Alabama individuals placed inside the top-three for the weekend and, for the Crimson Tide, it was its third runner-up team finish in four tournaments this fall. No. 9 South Carolina captured the event with a seven-under par 857 three-round total (289-285-283), while Illinois placed third (285-296-288/869).

A Look at the Alabama Lineup

Over the 54 holes played in Wilmington, the Crimson Tide totaled the second most birdies (47) of any team.
Senior Kenzie Wright and junior Angelica Moresco paced the Tide throughout the weekend, firing off a 3-under par 213 tournament total.
After a birdie on hole No. 4, Moresco (69-70-74) went on to finish her round with 14-consecutive pars. The junior carded a team-high 39 pars over the three days.
Wright (71-70-72) notched her second top-five victory of the season.
Freshmen Caroline Curtis earned her first collegiate top-20 finish on Sunday by tying for 17^th.
Freshman Emilie Øverås (73-69-77/219) led Alabama with 11 birdies over the three days.
Junior Polly Mack finished tied for 73^rd (72-78-81/231).
