
Alabama Softball Continues Fall Slate with Two Wins Sunday

The Crimson Tide defeat Wallace State, 10-1, and Montevallo, 7-0
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball continued its fall slate Sunday at Rhoads Stadium, earning a pair of wins over Wallace State and Montevallo.
The Crimson Tide opened the day with a 10-1 victory over the Lions before shutting out the Falcons, 7-0.

"It was fun to see Lexi Kilfoyl hit her first home run at Alabama, she's going to hit a lot in her career. KB Sides showed off the power that she has shown us in practice all fall. Savannah Woodard was awesome in game two. The crowd was amazing today too. We can't thank them enough for their support."
ALABAMA VS. WALLACE STATE HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Lexi Kilfoyl pitched a complete game in the circle, fanning 11 batters with just one run allowed on four hits
- Alabama got the scoring started with a pair of home runs in the first inning, with senior Bailey Hemphill smashing a solo shot before junior KB Sides crushed a two-run shot two batters later
- Sides' home run was part of a 3-for-3 day with four RBIs
- The Tide broke the game open with four runs in the third and three more in the fifth
ALABAMA VS. MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
- Seniors Krystal Goodman and Sarah Cornell teamed up to pitch 7.0 shutout innings, combining for 10 strikeouts with three hits allowed
- Graduate transfer Alexis Mack showed off her speed in the second inning, racing to first on an infield single before hustling all the way around to score on an errant throw
- Freshman Savannah Woodard was 2-for-3 at the plate, including a triple, and scored twice
- Kilfoyl blasted her first home run as a member of the Crimson Tide, blasting a three-run shot as part of a five-run fourth inning

Alabama wraps up its fall schedule Sunday, Oct. 27 at Rhoads Stadium with a 10-inning contest against Marion Military Institute at 1:30 p.m. CT.
