Alabama Women’s Golf Tied for Third Entering Final Day of Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational

Three Crimson Tide individuals are among the top-25 individually
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Four Alabama women's golfers shot under par in Saturday's second round of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, the Crimson Tide carded an 8-under par 280 and sit tied for third place and only two strokes out of the lead.
Entering the final round, Kentucky holds the team lead with a 15-under par 561 (283-278), while Wake Forest stands in second (282-280/562), and Michigan State (286-277/563) shares third place with the Crimson Tide (283-280/563).
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Over the 36 holes played so far, Alabama leads all teams with 125 pars on the par-70, 6,048-yard Finley Golf Course.
- Three UA individuals are among the top-25 individually, led by junior Angelica Moresco who is tied for fourth (69-69/138).
- Senior Kenzie Wright matched Moresco with a bogey-free second round of 3-under par 69 and finds herself tied for eighth (70-69/139).
- Junior Polly Mack recorded another round of 2-under par 71 (71-71/142) and finished the day tied for 18th overall.
- Freshman Emilie Øverås turned in a career-best 1-under par 71 and recorded an eagle on the par five 17th hole on Saturday.
- Freshman Caroline Curtis is tied for 58th overall (73-75/148).
