Crimson Tide Women’s Golf Tied for Second After Opening Round of Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational

Angelica Moresco sits tied for second with 3-under par 69
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Junior Angelica Moresco carded 3-under par 69 on Friday to lead the Alabama women's golf team in the opening round of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Finley Golf Course.
Alabama fired off a 5-under par 283 and currently sit tied for second place with Kentucky. The Crimson Tide enter the second round just one-stroke off the team leaderboard Wake Forrest (6-under par 282).
A Look at the Alabama Lineup
- Moresco got off to a strong start firing a 3-under par 69 with a team-leading six birdies on the day and currently stands tied for second overall.
- Sitting just one stroke back from Moresco is senior Kenzie Wright who is tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard at 2-under par 70.
- Junior Polly Mack finished the day at 1-under par 71 in a tie for 15th place on the par-70, 6,048-yard course.
- After an early bogey and double bogey to start freshman Caroline Curtis' first round, she rebounded to go 2-under-par over her final 15 holes, carding a round of 1-over par 73.
- Freshman Emilie Øverås opened the day with six consecutive pars and sits tied for 64th at 4-over par 76.
