Former Alabama Women’s Basketball Player Hannah Cook Signs with Professional Team in Iceland

The Crimson Tide standout will play for U.M.F. Grindavik
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Hannah Cook, Alabama's leading scorer from 2015 to 2018, has signed to play professional basketball with U.M.F. Grindavik in Grindavik, Iceland.
"I'm really grateful for this opportunity that U.M.F. Grindavik has given me, especially with it being the middle of their season," said Cook. "Thank you to those who helped me through this process and I thank God for the doors he has opened and the others he has shut."
Cook, a four-year starter for the Crimson Tide, finished her career ranked in the top 10 in scoring (No. 8 – 1,468), three-point field goals made (No. 4 – 262) and three-point field goals attempted (No. 1 – 781). She scored in double figures 79 times in her four years, nine of which were for 20 or more points. Cook was named to the 2018 Cheryl Miller Award Watch List and also earned most valuable player honors at the 2015 Nugget Classic in Reno, Nevada.
