The sophomore defeated Pat Harper (TENN), 6-3, 2-6, 6-1
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sophomore Riccardo Roberto was victorious in the Crimson Tide Four-In-The-Fall Houndstooth Draw Championship after defeating Pat Harper (Tennessee), 6-3, 2-6, 6-1, on Sunday morning at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
Roberto finishes the tournament with four singles wins under his belt.
Sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta also won his singles match on Sunday after besting Dane Dunlap (Miami), 7-5, 6-3. Junior Zhe Zhou did not play due to a walkover against Felix Ewers (Tulane), and sophomore Sam Fischer fell to Tatsuki Shimamoto (Miami), 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-6).
Alabama will be back in action next weekend with several players going to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic in Milwaukee, Wis., and the Ivy Plus Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
