
Alabama Men’s Tennis Players to Compete in Two Tournaments This Weekend

The Crimson Tide will send players to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and Ivy Plus Invitational
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Several players on the Alabama men's tennis team will be competing in two separate tournaments this weekend, with junior Edson Ortiz and sophomore Patrick Kaukovalta heading to the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, while senior Mazen Osama and sophomore Riccardo Roberto are traveling to the Ivy Plus Invitational.
The Milwaukee Tennis Classic will be held from Thursday, Sept. 20 – Sunday, Sept. 23 at The Town Club in Milwaukee, Wis., and the Ivy Plus Invitational hosted by Princeton University will be played from Friday, Sept. 21 – Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Cordish Family Pavilion and Lenz Tennis Center in Princeton, N.J.
Teams competing in the Ivy Plus include, Brown, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Illinois, LSU, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Penn, Princeton, St. John's, Texas, Tulsa, Wisconsin and Yale.
96 players will play in 16-player singles draws along with six eight-pair doubles draws. First serve is at 7:30 a.m. CT each day. Two doubles and one singles round will be played on Friday, two singles rounds on Saturday, while one doubles and one singles round to be played on Sunday.
Play at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic will begin at 8 a.m. with a round of singles and doubles being played each day. A total of 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams are a part of the event.
Draws for both singles and doubles at the Ivy Plus Invitational and Milwaukee Tennis Classic will be released later and updated on RollTide.com.
