Guarachi and Routliffe Reach Finals of Citi Open

The powerful tandem defeated Ahn/Davis, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0(10-8), late Friday night
WASHINGTON – Former Alabama standouts Alexa Guarachi and Erin Routliffe are on to the doubles final of the Citi Open after defeating Ahn/Davis (USA), 7-5, 3-6, 1-0(10-8) on Friday night in Washington, D.C.
The No. 4-seed tandem in the tournament will wait to see who they play in the championship with the other side of the draw still in the semifinal round.
For Guarachi, this is her second WTA final appearance of her career, as she won the Ladies Championship Gstaad less than a month ago in Gstaad, Switzerland. As for Routliffe, this will be her first time in a WTA final.
